How Article Marketing Works
Nowadays there are many ways for you to increase your website traffic. Recently I’ve subscribed to a few article marketing newsletters, and they show me how to build up massive traffic by using the power of articles. As you know, a website(or a blog) without traffic is nothing, especially now that there are so many competitors out there. Therefore you will have to keep on generating tons of traffic to your site, massive traffic.
Well you can also generate traffic by advertising your site, either with Google Adwords or advertise on other people’s websites. However, this is not guarantee will works and it is not free. You see, when you run advertising, all the visitors you are getting are not targeted enough. For example, if you run advertisement with Adwords, then you are going to expect visitors will understand about your website by only reading 3 lines of description? Well they might feel interesting and click to your site, and most of them will find your site is not what they’re looking for, and off they go.
So this is when the article marketing comes into play. There are two ways for article marketing to generate traffic to your site.
1. You should know that article directories are highly rank by search engines, and plan on writing your keywords perfectly, after you publish your article, you can search them in search engine. If you do this correctly, you can even get your article rank in search engine top 10. Furthermore, all the traffic you get from will be very targeted. This is because most of the time visitors will read your article first, then only visit your site if they feel they like your content. It is hard to find such targeted traffic nowadays, except through articles.
2. Another way is that, you can include an ‘about’ author box in every of the articles you’re submitting. Which also means that you can always insert your site’s link into it, and works as backlink to your site. When search engine spider crawl over, your site will get higher ranking due to the increase of backlinks. Can you imagine that if you submitted your article to 50 directories, you will gain extra 50 backlinks from those high page rank article directory website. However, this method will took a longer time, but since you’re going to increase traffic for your site anyway, why don’t you try on both the fast and slow methods, right?
In addition, the article you wrote will serve as some kind of screening, to filter off untargeted visitors to your site. Those visitors who read your article definitely are looking for or feel interesting with your topic, thats the reason they read your article. Thus, traffic that generated from article marketing are highly targeted.

Article marketing is good. Google as a whole is not good for small business any longer. It’s a black box designed to extract as much money as possible from small business while giving back as little value as possible. This piece explains why Adwords is something to be skeptical about: “Why Google Adwords is Not Helpful to Small Business” http://smartstartup.typepad.com/my_weblog/2007/07/a-fable-doing-b.html

You’d have a lot of duplicate content out there. A few articles on decent sites might help but 50 or 100’s of the same articles on all kinds of sites- particularly those that have nothing to do with your websites topic will probably hurt more than it will help.

oh oh … your comment links are nofollow again … did you take out two instances of nofollow in your blogger template? Please get back to me about this … you are listed in the do follow list but if your site isn’t following I’ll have to remove you from the list.

Hi, Tricia, thanks for visiting. For the nofollow tags, before this i’ve removed it, but after i insert the comment box widget, there is still 1 more there. And i had remove it, but i think i’ve change some of the codes there. Now my blog can’t show the full post after clicking the read more button and i got no idea why the summary of post show up twice.
Fof article marketing, don’t submit the same article over and over again, i personally don’t do this. All the articles i submitted are different.
As for duplicated content, i don’t think i copy and paste anyone’s content here. I’m just sharing all the money making ideas of what i know here. Besides, every money making ideas are the same, just depends on how you implement the strategies.
Thanks for telling me eh. Now i’ve gotta think of some way to repair my blog.

I’m just starting to get into article marketing and appreciate your articles on ezinearticles. Sounds like you have a fairly good grasp on the concept.
