When search engine spider crawl over, your site will get higher ranking due to the increase of backlinks. Can you imagine that if you submitted your article to 50 directories, you will gain extra 50 backlinks from those high page rank article directory website. However, this method will took a longer time, but since you’re going to increase traffic for your site anyway, why don’t you try on both the fast and slow methods, right?

In addition, the article you wrote will serve as some kind of screening, to filter off untargeted visitors to your site. Well, last time I’ve posted about using social sites like StumbleUpon can help you increase your blog traffic. You can read it here if you don’t know what is StumbleUpon, Tips To Increase Traffic. Yes, StumbleUpon or simply SU can bring you lots of traffic. But how? There are a lot of people who joined SU and hope to have tons of traffic flow to their site, but in the end they got no traffic at all.

So what are the tips and guides for you to generate tons of traffic from SU? I’ll assume that you have a SU account and you do know how it works. If you don’t, then please read Tips To Increase Traffic. Frankly, I’ve been using SU to increase my traffic for quite some time now. In the beginning, I don’t really get much traffic from SU, I get the traffic only for 1 or 2 days from SU. 1. Join SU Discussion

Look for these kind of discussion in forums or any discussion board.

Sorry that I cannot tell you any forum discussion or any board discussion where they have this StumbleUpon exchange, this is because it is not the right ethical to exchange stumbles. You will have to find out this for yourself.

2. Increase Your Mutual Friends
This is another very important task to do if you want to have lots of traffic from SU. The maximum numbers of friend in SU is 200, you must keep on looking for friends. When you have lots of mutual friends in SU, the traffic you can generate from SU will be huge. I know that it is not possible for you to have 200 friends in just one day. Even you can add all you want, but they not necessarily will add you back. Here is the hard part. You will have to figure out some way to increase your mutual friends.

My advice is, keep on messaging for other stumblers and ask them to add you. And keep on stumble other stumblers, but you must be careful, because you do not want to stumble just for the sake of it. If other ‘pro’ stumblers find out that you are stumbling just for the sake of it, they will leave bad review and stumble you down. This is what you don’t want to.

Therefore, the best way is to send message for other stumblers. If they notice, they will add you back. Use one month to do so, it will be kind of challenging, but its worth it. (*You can stumble other stumblers when you free, however don’t keep on stumbling everyone in a short period of time, you have to stop for awhile. This is because people will know how many stumbles you have gave, and once they see that you are just stumble because you want people to add you, they will ‘warn’ you.)

3. Stumble All The Way
For this tips, it is easy, keep on stumbling, don’t give up and don’t stop. Stumble a lot pages and stumblers, and you will know the results. Give yourself one month time to do all these, and you will slowly see how traffic from SU flows in to your blog.

You can also build up a list to capture email list by using this method.

And now, the final and most important step, this will eat up some of your time to do so. Posting in all the forums mentioned above. Here is the idea, lets say that you make 5 posts everyday at each of the forums above. And for one month, you will have at least 30 x 5 x 6 = 900 posts total. Then assume that each of your posts will have 1 people clicking the link to your website in your signature.

You will have at least a 900 visitors, and what if a percentage of them turn into your subscribers? Maybe 500 of them? And you know what, each post yield 1 visitor is a very conservative calculation. Which means that, if you do this everyday, you can have a 1,000+ visitors after one month and don’t forget about your subscribers too. Amazing result right?

So this is how forums can help you build up your traffic and your list of subscribers. If this is to compare with article marketing, since both of the methods are free, you should go for two if you have the time.

A few posts everyday seem like very few, but through time and continuous effort, you can generate a huge traffic. Success is not a sprint, it is a marathon. Something big is often made up by lots of small thing through time.
