The Money Is In The List
Have you ever heard this, “the money is in the list“? I don’t know, but I’ve heard this over and over again. Those who make money from the net, keep on telling that the money is in the list.
So what does this mean? Have you ever come across some sites that offer your free e-book or any report? You will need to fill in an opt-in list, with your name and email. Then only the site author will email you your free gifts. This is it, they capture your email address, and follow up you in future. The free gift is just some kind of short introduction to their products, mostly e-books and software. And most people will not buy at the first contact.
This is where the list comes into play. Lets say that only 1% of people who subscribe or you capture is going to buy for your products. You know what, 1% traffic conversion is consider very high at the first contact. How bout the rest? The 99%, are your going to just let them go? Of course not. So you will then send follow up email via autoresponder to your prospects. And statistic shows that most of the prospects will buy at the 5-7 contact.
If you can generate another 1% of sales from your follow up, you’re quite successful. So now you understand why the opt-in list and follow up are so important. It is very important to have an opt-in list and to follow up your prospects. It is a MUST if you want to success in internet marketing. Frankly speaking, I’ve never seen any successful internet marketer promote their products without an opt-in list. So you just need to follow their steps.
I just wanted to let you know that, building up a list to promote your product is very important. And the result from it is amazing. It is worth it for you to learn more about how to build an opt-in list. In addition, follow up emails can help you cover up all the traffic which you’ve drive, but not yet convert into sales. Therefore it won’t be a big loss if your prospect doesn’t buy at the first time.
This is an era of customer relationship management. You must know how to handle your relationship with your customer. If you have a list, you can even promote your second or other people’s products to your customers in your list. You need to treat your customers like your friends, your partners. It is always easier to have repeating sales from the same customer than to generate sales from a new customer.
